What Would Jesus Say to the Methodists?

Image
Returning to the Fire of Holiness and Mission “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works…” — Revelation 2:4–5, NKJV The Methodist movement began with a spark of revival that spread like wildfire across England and the American colonies. It was born not in the comfort of stained glass cathedrals but in open fields, among coal miners, prisoners, orphans, and the broken. John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, once said, “The world is my parish,” and with that declaration, Methodists became known for their evangelistic fervor, social action, and pursuit of personal holiness. So what would Jesus say to the Methodists today? He would first speak with deep love. Jesus walks among His churches, as Revelation tells us. He knows their labor, their struggles, their history, and their heart. To the Methodists, He might begin with, “I see your compassion, your advocacy for justice, your tire...

What Would Jesus Say to the Baptists?

Image
Holding Fast to the Word—But Not Forgetting the Weightier Matters The Baptist movement, with its many branches—Southern Baptists, Independent Baptists, Free Will Baptists, Missionary Baptists, and others—has left a powerful mark on Christianity. Known for its unwavering commitment to the authority of Scripture, believer’s baptism, and passionate evangelism, the Baptist tradition has long been one of the strongest voices calling the world to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. But what if Jesus stood before a Baptist congregation today? What would He affirm? What would He challenge? What would He lovingly correct? Let’s imagine. Faithfulness to the Word Jesus might begin with a commendation: “You have honored My Word. You have stood firm on the authority of Scripture in a time when many are compromising. You have not shied away from proclaiming the gospel clearly and boldly. You have cherished My teachings, upheld baptism by immersion as a symbol of new life, and sent missionaries to ...

What Would Jesus Say to Messianic Jews?

Image
You Have Not Denied My Name—But There Is Still More to Be Fulfilled To the Messianic Jews—those who believe in Me, Yeshua, as the promised Messiah—I commend your courage and faithfulness. You have embraced the truth spoken through Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms, and you have seen how all Scripture points to Me (Luke 24:44). You have endured rejection for My name, even from your own people, and yet you have remained steadfast. You are witnesses to the fulfillment of Isaiah 53 and Daniel 9. You proclaim Me as Messiah, not just to Gentiles, but to the house of Israel. I know your love for the Torah and your desire to honor the traditions of your forefathers. But I say to you, let your identity be found fully in Me—not in the shadow, but in the substance (Colossians 2:16-17). Remember, I came not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17). Walk in the Spirit, not in obligation, and let your observances point others to Me, the Living Word. You have stood at a difficult inters...

What Would Jesus Say to the Lutheran Church Today?

1 What Would Jesus Say to the Lutheran Church Today? A Call to Stay Rooted, Spirit-Filled, and Mission-Focused "To My beloved people who carry the name of a bold reformer, I honor the courage that birthed your movement — a return to My Word, a protest against corruption, and a cry for grace over works. I gave Martin Luther strength not to divide, but to awaken. That fire must not become a museum exhibit. Let it burn again. I see your hunger for liturgy, order, and reverence. These are good — but I want your hearts, not just your traditions. I desire a living relationship with each of you, not only historic creeds. Many of your churches are faithful in word, but have grown weary in spirit. Others have let the culture reshape the truth I gave you. Return to Me. You have proclaimed  sola scriptura  — now live it fully. Let My Word guide you in both holiness and compassion. Do not ignore what I said about the Holy Spirit. He is still working, still empowering, still convicting,...

What Would Jesus Say to Anglicans and Episcopalians?

Hearing His Voice in the Midst of Tradition and Change "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." —John 10:27 (NLT) When Jesus walked the earth, His voice was clear, His teachings unwavering, and His heart open to all who would listen and follow. Today, He still speaks — and His voice lovingly calls out to every heart, including those within the Anglican and Episcopal communities. Anglicanism and its American counterpart, Episcopalianism, carry a rich history deeply rooted in tradition, Scripture, and a longing to uphold the faith passed down through the centuries. There is beauty in the liturgy, reverence in the services, and a deep desire to worship God in spirit and truth. But what would Jesus say today to Anglicans and Episcopalians? First, He would affirm the beauty of worship offered with sincerity. Jesus loves heartfelt worship — not empty ritual, but genuine adoration of the Father. He would remind His people that true worship must spring from a l...

✨ What Would Jesus Say to the Eastern Orthodox? In love and compassion, Jesus would speak to the Eastern Orthodox faithful with deep understanding of their reverence, history, and devotion. He would honor their desire to preserve the ancient faith, their awe in worship, and their steadfastness through centuries of hardship. Yet, as always, His words would also gently call hearts to what matters most: a living, personal relationship with Him. Here is what His voice might lovingly say: **"My beloved ones, I see your devotion to the beauty and mystery of worship. I see how you have preserved the teachings passed down through generations, standing firm even under persecution and loss. I see your love for tradition, for prayer, for holiness. Your candles, your icons, your liturgies — all these you offer with reverence toward Me. Yet remember: I came to call you not only to preserve the form but to know Me in your hearts. I am the living God — not bound to any place, any ritual, or an...

Words to the Pope

Image
Christ’s Gentle Invitation to Return   When Jesus walked among us, He often spoke to those in positions of spiritual leadership with both love and truth. His heart was never to condemn, but to invite—to draw all people, including leaders, closer to the heart of God. If Jesus were to speak to the Pope today, His words would surely carry the same timeless compassion and earnest call to pure devotion. His voice would not be angry, nor would it seek to tear down, but it would lovingly lift up truth and offer a hand toward deeper fellowship with Himself. "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."  (Matthew 11:28, NKJV) The Pope, like all leaders, carries a great burden. The weight of responsibility, tradition, expectation, and influence is enormous. Jesus would acknowledge that burden. He would not come with accusations, but with an invitation to lay down every tradition, every title, every expectation at His feet—to find rest in relationship ra...

What Would Jesus Say to the Catholic?

Image
From Religion to New Life in Christ Millions of people around the world identify as Catholic. They were baptized as infants, confirmed as teens, and attend Mass faithfully. They participate in confession, pray the rosary, honor saints, and look to the Pope as the earthly head of the Church. Many are sincere. Many are devoted. But the question remains:  What would Jesus say to the Catholic? Let’s look not at tradition or denomination, but at Jesus’ own words. 💬 “You must be born again.” “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” (John 3:3, NLT) Jesus didn’t say, “Be baptized as a baby.” He didn’t say, “Join a religious institution.” He said,  “You must be born again.”  That means a spiritual rebirth—a personal surrender to Christ that changes the heart and awakens the soul to a living relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. Many Catholics love God, but some have never truly experienced this new birth. They know  about...
